Softball Recap: Thompson Tommies vs. Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators
Thompson couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 9-4 to the Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Thompson of the 13-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2017.
Kya Hurst was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with a triple, a run, and an RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Warcken, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Thompson will head out on the road to take on Carrington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Red Lake Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
