Basketball Recap: Midfield Skates Past Sumter Central with Ease

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Midfield had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Sumter Central Jaguars 80-40. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 33 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Armonie Franklin, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Malachi Robinson was another key player, going 6 for 7 en route to 16 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.

Midfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Midfield is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. As for Sumter Central, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-11.

As of now, neither Midfield nor Sumter Central have any future games scheduled.
