Softball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy fell victim to Monterey Trail and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Monterey Trail Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Kennedy moved to 4-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 11.33 hits in those games compared to only 2.8 in the others. As for Monterey Trail, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Kennedy will head out on the road to face off against Liberty Ranch at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Monterey Trail, they will be playing at home against Cordova at 4:00 p.m. on March 13th.
