Baseball Recap: Ensworth Comes Up Short

Ensworth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions, falling 10-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent defeat being a 16-6 loss on Wednesday.

Ensworth's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ensworth will welcome Liberty-Benton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Waverly Central at 6:30 p.m.
