Basketball Recap: Loudonville Takes a Loss

Loudonville lost against Norwayne back in November of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Loudonville Redbirds took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Norwayne Bobcats.

Norwayne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hannah Froelich led the charge by going 6 for 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to six boards and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Maibach, who posted eight points along with seven assists and five boards.

Loudonville now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Norwayne, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loudonville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against East Knox at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Knox has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Norwayne, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
