            Basketball Recap: St. Teresa's Academy Stars vs. Raytown South Cardinals        
        
		
        
        
            St. Teresa's Academy entered their tilt with Raytown South on Thursday with six consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Raytown South Cardinals, posting  a  57-26 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Stars also won the last time the pair played  back in March of 2021.
St. Teresa's Academy was led to victory by  Jazlyn Rhodes and  Mabel Bland.  Rhodes  posted 11  points along with five  assists and four  steals, while  Bland  went 6 of 9  en route to 12 points and eight  rebounds. Rhodes is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's  played.  Nora Bond also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first  assist of the season.
 They weren't the only one working in the  assists department: St. Teresa's Academy was working as a unit and  finished the game with 15  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.

St. Teresa's Academy pushed their record up to 12-3 with the  victory, which was their 12th straight  at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Raytown South,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-10.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Teresa's Academy will host St. Michael the Archangel  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Raytown South, they will welcome Winnetonka  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
