Basketball Recap: Penn Yan Academy Takes a Loss

Penn Yan Academy lost against Palmyra-Macedon back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Penn Yan Academy Mustangs took a 53-38 bruising from the Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Penn Yan Academy is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5. As for Palmyra-Macedon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penn Yan Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Palmyra-Macedon and Greece Arcadia will round out the year against one another at at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
