Arcata extended their postseason success on Saturday against Portola. They managed a 27-21 victory over the Portola Bulldogs. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers who have now won five matches in a row.

It was another big night for Luke Lemke, who rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 150 yards on eight of 17 attempts. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Tony Buchanan was another key player, rushing for 96 yards and one touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Portola lost, don't look at Diego Reyna. Despite the final result, he rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Portola also got a significant boost from Timothy Grettenberg, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.

Arcata's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Portola, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-7 record.

As of now, neither Arcata nor Portola have any future games scheduled.
