Volleyball Recap: Delta Takes a Loss

If Delta was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Elite last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Saints lost 3-0 to the Esparto Spartans on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Saints have suffered against the Spartans since October 16, 2017.

While Delta ultimately came up short, they really made Esparto work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24, 25-21.

Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Esparto, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Looking ahead, Delta will take on Creative Connections Arts Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Esparto has already played their next contest (against Children's Creative & Performing Arts Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
