Baseball Recap: Arrowhead Takes a Loss

Arrowhead extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 4-11. They fell 8-4 to the Kettle Moraine Lasers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lasers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 on Tuesday.

Niko Frangopoulos made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. He has become a key player for Arrowhead: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 2-10 otherwise. Cam Carter was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

As for Kettle Moraine, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.

On Kettle Moraine's side, the team relied heavily on Chace Staude, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs Staude has posted over his last ten games. Another player making a difference was Jimmy Angle, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Arrowhead will head out to face off against Menomonee Falls at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kettle Moraine, they will venture away from home to challenge Brookfield East at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
