Soccer Game Preview: Dixon vs. Richlands

The Dixon Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Richlands Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Dixon's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Swansboro. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of three yellow cards before it was all over: Dixon's William Sumner and Swansboro's Fletcher Panos and Asher Stanley were all carded.

Aidan Teller and Bane Blizzard scored both of Dixon's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 34 goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Richlands, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against West Carteret by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for Richlands in their matchups with West Carteret: they've now won three in a row.

Dixon's record now sits at 11-3. As for Richlands, their record is now 11-2-1.

Dixon took their win against Richlands in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 5-2 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
