Baseball Recap: Cimarron Comes Up Short

If Cimarron was riding high fresh off their 24-5 takedown of Aline-Cleo on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trailblazers lost 13-3 to the Waukomis Chiefs on Tuesday. The Trailblazers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chiefs earlier this season, when they won 14-10.

Cimarron's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Waukomis, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Cimarron will venture away from home to face off against Covington-Douglas at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waukomis, they will square off against Oklahoma Bible at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
