Recap: East Bernard Brahmas vs. Hempstead Bobcats
Make it eight blowout wins for the East Bernard Brahmas this season. They took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 65-21 victory over Hempstead. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win East Bernard has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Bernard to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ashlynn Lemos, who scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals. Lemos hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Malaya Thomas, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
East Bernard has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Hempstead, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Bernard will square off against Hitchcock at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hitchcock will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Hempstead on the road again on Friday and play against Van Vleck at 6:30 p.m. on January 26th.
