Pace falls short of Gulf Breeze in the playoffs

Recap: Pace Patriots vs. Gulf Breeze Dolphins

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Pace Patriots can now relate to. Their tough 66-41 loss to the Dolphins on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Pace can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 607th, while Gulf Breeze is ranked 257th).

Trent Peak was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with two steals for Gulf Breeze. The team also got some help courtesy of Hutson Rowe, who scored nine points along with three steals.

Pace has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season. As for Gulf Breeze, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-10.

Pace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gulf Breeze, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-52 victory vs. Crestview on the 8th.
