Recap: ITW David Speer Academy Pride vs. UIC College Prep Firecats
The ITW David Speer Academy Pride's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 79-47 loss at the hands of UIC College Prep. ITW David Speer Academy has not had much luck with UIC College Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Leading UIC College Prep to victory were James Hodrick and Jayden Coleman. Hodrick scored 18 points along with five rebounds, while Coleman dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Hodrick hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Andre Boone was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
ITW David Speer Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for UIC College Prep, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
ITW David Speer Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Golder at 7:00 p.m. on February 19th. UIC College Prep is on the road again on Sunday and plays Rowe-Clark at 10:00 a.m. on February 4th. UIC College Prep is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52 points per game this season.
