Basketball Recap: Nenana Takes a Loss

Nenana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 80-19 loss at the hands of the Unalakleet Wolfpack. While losing is never fun, the Lynx can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 11th).

Nenana's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Unalakleet, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Nenana will take on Nunamiut in a tournament on February 6th. As for Unalakleet, they are taking a road trip to face off against Kotzebue on February 7th.
