Basketball Recap: Meadow Heights Takes a Loss

Meadow Heights suffered their closest defeat since February 1, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Valley Vikings by a score of 72-69. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Meadow Heights dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Meadow Heights will head out to face off against Crystal City at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meadow Heights is facing Crystal City at the right time seeing as Crystal City is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Marquand-Zion at 6:00 p.m. Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Marquand-Zion likes a good challenge.
