Basketball Recap: High Point Central Comes Up Short

High Point Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 45th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles and fell 71-30. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 557th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 79th).

High Point Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Ben L. Smith, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, High Point Central will venture away from home to square off against Atkins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ben L. Smith, they will host Eastern Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
