Basketball Recap: Wilkes Central Starts Season with Loss at Home

Wilkes Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 59-18 defeat at the hands of the North Iredell Raiders on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 15 in a row.

Looking ahead, Wilkes Central is taking a road trip to take on West Iredell at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for North Iredell, they will challenge Newton-Conover at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
