Northwest had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Madison on Friday. The Mounties were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Trojans. Considering the Mounties have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Northwest's sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Madison, their record now sits at 11-7.
