Soccer Game Preview: Deltona vs. Atlantic

The Deltona Wolves will square off against the Atlantic Sharks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Deltona is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Umatilla on Tuesday. Deltona fell just short of Umatilla by a score of 2-1. One thing that didn't help Wolves' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Isabella Villa.

Deltona's goal came courtesy of Trinity Bryant, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Atlantic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Pine Ridge, falling 6-0.

Atlantic's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Deltona, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Deltona took their win against Atlantic when the teams last played back in January of 2016 by a conclusive 14-0. Will Deltona repeat their success, or does Atlantic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
