Basketball Recap: Pelham Comes Up Short

Pelham was the 61-56 winner over Seminole County when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Pelham Hornets received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 47-31 to the Seminole County Indians.

Kamauri Johnson was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds for Seminole County. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Beard, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 11 points and three steals.

Pelham's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Seminole County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Pelham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seminole County, they have already played their next match, a 56-54 loss against Early County on the 12th.
