Basketball Recap: Saltillo Takes a Loss

Saltillo suffered their biggest loss since January 30th on Saturday. They lost 70-44 to the Tupelo Golden Wave. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Golden Wave are ranked 13th).

Saltillo has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season. As for Tupelo, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.

Saltillo will take on East Union in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tupelo and Madison Central will compete for holiday cheer at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
