Basketball Recap: Indio Comes Up Short

Indio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Brawley Wildcats an easy 66-46 victory. While losing is never fun, the Rajahs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1141st, while the Wildcats are ranked 559th).

Indio's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Brawley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Indio will head out to face off against Redlands East Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rajahs will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Brawley and Palo Verde Valley will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' defense better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 51.6 points per game this season.
