Softball Recap: Argo Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Argo's offense. They fell just short of the Lemont Lemont HS by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The Argonauts have struggled against the Lemont HS recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Argo's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Lemont, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Argo and Lemont should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Argonauts will square off against Bremen at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (161 vs. 448). Meanwhile, Lemont (ranked 102nd) will meet Blue Island Eisenhower (ranked 451st) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
