Recap: Pee Dee Academy Eagles vs. Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Pee Dee Academy Eagles can now relate to. They were beaten by Hilton Head Christian Academy 42-7 on Friday. Pee Dee Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
It was another big night for Dylan Clark, who rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 171 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes. Tyshon Mansell was in the mix too, providing Hilton Head Christian Academy with two touchdowns.
Pee Dee Academy bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.7 points per game. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Pee Dee Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hilton Head Christian Academy will square off against Pinewood Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pinewood Prep is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
