Recap: Colome Cowboys vs. North Central Knights
Sadly, the Colome Cowboys are still looking for their first win of the season after 14 matchups. They took a hard 80-61 fall against North Central on Tuesday. Colome has struggled against North Central recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
North Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zak Swanson out in front who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Swanson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kol Otten, who scored 19 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Colome dropped their record down to 0-14 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for North Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colome will take on Sunshine Bible Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Sunshine Bible Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 last Monday. As for North Central, they will be playing at home against Valentine at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
