Baseball Game Preview: Kingswood Knights vs. Pembroke Spartans

The Kingswood Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Pembroke Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Kingswood's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Pembroke's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Kingswood beat Merrimack Valley 8-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Pembroke hadn't beaten Sanborn Regional on the road since May 19, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Spartans put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 7-1 win. The Spartans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory got Pembroke back to even at 2-2. As for Kingswood, their record now sits at 3-1.

Kingswood couldn't quite finish off Pembroke in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
