Softball Recap: Princeton Takes a Loss

Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They came up short against the Prosper Eagles, falling 10-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Jadyn Walton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run. Maddie Anguiano was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20-1. As for Prosper, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Princeton will square off against rival McKinney Boyd at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Prosper is set to face off against their familiar foe Plano West at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
