Softball Recap: Jefferson County Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Morristown-Hamblen West, Jefferson County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Cherokee Chiefs get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Chiefs: they've now won eight in a row.

The result came thanks to Mercedes Randolph's shutout, as she gave up just four hits.

On the hitting side, Jefferson County's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bella Watson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Watson's first of the season.
