Softball Recap: New London Comes Up Short

New London was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mediapolis Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 back in May.

New London's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Mediapolis, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

New London wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-2 defeat against West Burlington on the 13th. As for Mediapolis, they have also already played their next game, a 12-4 victory against Van Buren County on the 13th.
