Baseball Game Preview: Frankston Indians vs. Mildred Eagles

The Frankston Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Mildred Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

If Frankston beats Mildred with 17 runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Indians blew past Avalon 17-3 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Meanwhile, Mildred got themselves on the board against Cross Roads on Tuesday, but Cross Roads never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 13-0 win.

Layton Atkeisson made a big impact no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Charlie Judson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Noah Garcia was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Frankston's record is now 20-3. As for Mildred, their record now sits at 13-2.

Frankston skirted past Mildred 3-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
