Recap: Gaither Cowboys vs. Sickles Gryphons
The Gaither Cowboys's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Sickles and snuck past 61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gaither to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayce Humphries, who scored 25 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Humphries has scored at least 25% of Gaither's points. Marc Fransberg was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Gaither's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Sickles, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gaither won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Freedom at 6:30 p.m. on December 6th. As for Sickles, they will head out on the road to face off against Blake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
