Wakeland has gone a perfect 7-0 against Creekview recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wolverines will square off against the Mustangs at 5:30 p.m.

Wakeland is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Highland Park just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Scots by a score of 3-2.

Wakeland took Highland Park into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-21, 24-26, 18-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Creekview came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Turner on Tuesday.

Creekview was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-21, 25-20.

Creekview's victory bumped their record up to 10-24. As for Wakeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-7.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Wakeland hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 4.1 blocks per game. It's a different story for Creekview, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 blocks. Given Wakeland's sizable advantage in that area, the Mustangs will need to find a way to close that gap.

Wakeland took their win against Creekview in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
