Football Game Preview: Russellville Indians vs. Linn Wildcats

The Russellville Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Linn Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Russellville is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Russellville's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against South Callaway by a score of 12-0. Those 12 points were actually the fewest the Indians have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Russellville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Andrew Eickhoff and Jack Lake. Russellville got some further help from Corbin Johnson: he made 20 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Linn ended up a good deal behind Fayette on Friday and lost 29-14.

Linn dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Russellville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Russellville against Linn when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 69-18 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
