While Jefferson's win against Capuchino wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Grizzlies had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 2-1 on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Grizzlies as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (75-71) Jefferson actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 28-26, 17-25.

Sedrick Pamintuan paced Jefferson's offense, picking up 19 kills. Pamintuan got some help from Nehemiah 'Nemo' Monsada and his 36 assists.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 5-23. As for Capuchino, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.
