Soccer Game Preview: Fremont vs. Lincoln North Star

Fremont hasn't had much luck against Lincoln North Star recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Tigers will be taking part in a tournament against the Navigators at 11:00 a.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Fremont is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Columbus, who was ranked 20th at the time (Fremont was ranked 24th). The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Discoverers on Monday.

Meanwhile, Lincoln North Star managed to keep up with Lincoln Southeast until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Navigators lost 7-1 to the Knights. Lincoln North Star's loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Lincoln North Star's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Fremont came out on top in a nail-biter against Lincoln North Star in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Navigators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
