 The Oakcrest Chargers will head out on the road to  take on  the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles at 6:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Oakcrest will be strutting in after a  win while Fredericksburg Christian will be coming in after a  loss.
 Last Tuesday, Oakcrest earned a  40-32 win over Highland. The  win was just what Oakcrest needed coming off of a  53-29 loss in their prior  game.
 Oakcrest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Elaine Etter, who  scored ten points along with six  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Etter has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Kate Newsome, who  scored seven points along with two  steals and two  blocks.
 Meanwhile, Fredericksburg Christian came up short against Trinity Christian on Wednesday and fell  38-27. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fredericksburg Christian in their matchups with Trinity Christian: they've now lost five in a row.
 Despite the  defeat, Fredericksburg Christian got a solid performance out of   Layna Thomas, who  scored 12 points along with seven  assists and five  steals. Thomas hasn't dropped below five  steals for three straight games.
 Oakcrest has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record  this season. As for Fredericksburg Christian, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record  this season.
This contest  is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor:  Oakcrest  have been smashing the glass this season,  having  averaged 37.4  rebounds per game. However, it's not like Fredericksburg Christian struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 27.1  rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Oakcrest beat Fredericksburg Christian 46-38  when the teams last played  back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oakcrest since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
