Basketball Recap: 14 Straight Home Wins for Brentwood Christian

Brentwood Christian had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They blew past the Hyde Park Panthers 66-26. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Panthers are ranked 871st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Marcus Zelee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryant Herring, who posted eight points in addition to ten rebounds and four blocks.

Brentwood Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 16 consecutive games.
