Basketball Recap: Wamego Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After losing to Marysville the last time they met, Wamego decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wamego Red Raiders managed a 57-52 win over the Marysville Bulldogs on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Red Raiders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Wamego's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Marysville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Wamego will face off against Andover on Thursday. Wamego has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Marysville, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jefferson West on January 30th.
