Baseball Recap: Loyalton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fall River last Friday, Loyalton came back down to earth. Loyalton fell 8-3 to the Modoc Braves on Saturday.

Preston Hubbs was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Loyalton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Modoc, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Loyalton will square off against Westwood at 2:00 p.m. on the 31st. The game will give Loyalton their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Modoc, they will challenge Plumas Charter at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
