Football Recap: Englewood Comes Up Short on the Road Against Baldwin

Englewood had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 28-3 to the Baldwin Indians on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 45-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Jeremiah Levy threw for 46 yards on three of five attempts. Skyler Pierre was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards.

Nashawn Jacobs had a dynamite game For Baldwin., rushing for 167 yards and one score while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Those 167 rushing yards gave Jacobs a new career-high. Jaiden Barnett also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Englewood will venture away from home to challenge Beachside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Baldwin, they will head out to face off against Palatka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
