Softball Recap: Escalon Takes a Loss

Escalon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Hughson Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-4 back in March.

Escalon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Babasa, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Babasa is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Escalon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Hughson, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Escalon will face off against rival Ripon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hughson is set to take on their familiar foe Orestimba at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
