Softball Game Preview: Middletown Mustangs vs. Fort Bragg Timberwolves

Middletown is 0-10 against Fort Bragg since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will challenge the Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Monday just wasn't the day for Middletown's offense. They lost 10-0 to St. Helena on Monday.

Meanwhile, Fort Bragg didn't have quite enough to beat Clear Lake on Thursday and fell 8-7. The loss continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost three in a row.

Sierra Thompson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Emily Silva was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Fort Bragg, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Middletown might still be hurting after the 12-0 defeat they got from Fort Bragg in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
