Volleyball Recap: Springboro Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Springboro took on Springfield on Thursday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Springboro found their leader in sophomore Reagan Dearth, who had 12 digs and two aces. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for Dearth. Freya Brokken also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Springboro was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springfield only served four.

Springboro pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Springfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Springboro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Miamisburg on the 20th. As for Springfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Tecumseh on the 22nd.
