Baseball Recap: Spackenkill Spartans vs. Highland Huskies
Spackenkill put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Highland Huskies onto the board and left with a 6-0 win. Spackenkill's pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three matchups.
Dan Collins was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Bryan Hoyt, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
Spackenkill's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spackenkill will take on Rhinebeck at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
