Baseball Recap: Mars Comes Up Short

Mars made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Knoch, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Fightin' Planets fell just short of the Knights by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. Fightin' Planets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Knights since Thursday.

This is the second loss in a row for Mars and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Knoch, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Mars has already played their next contest, a 6-2 defeat against Freeport on the 8th. As for Knoch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Highlands on the 8th.
