Baseball Recap: Hunt's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

With a playoff win on the line, Hunt rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They never let the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won four games in a row.

Stone Massey looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Will Doll and Angel Saldona did most of the damage at the plate: Doll went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI, while Saldona went 2-for-3 with two runs. Those two doubles gave Doll a new career-high.

Hunt pushed their record up to 17-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Cedar Ridge, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Hunt will face off against J.H. Rose on Friday. The Rampants will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. Cedar Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
