Preview: Kelso Hilanders vs. Cascade Cougars
Kelso has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Cascade Cougars at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Kelso's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Last Friday, the stars were shining brightly for Kelso in a 67-48 win over Rogers. Given Kelso's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Rogers is ranked 103rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cascade had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three last Friday. They slipped by Central 55-54.
Kelso's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Cascade, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
