Surry Central have struggled against Wilkes Central recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Surry Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Wilkes Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Surry Central will head out on the road to face off against Mount Airy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Surry Central will be up against Mount Airy's rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wilkes Central, they have already played their next game, a 5-1 loss against North Davidson on the 26th.
